Ciao Amico! (that's 'hello friend' in Italian)
Three months gone and here we are nearing the end of April. We're finally....(FINALLY!!!!) welcoming the cooler season. I seriously cannot believe how hot our 'Autumn' was so I'm super keen for snuggling up in doonas like a burrito and devouring every kind of soup out there. Not too much has happened, photos in this post are as old as February so activities besides study and work have been few and far between.
This is a pretty accurate depiction of my life and probably how I will be for the next four years....
Probably my favourite from the APT8 exhibition QAG GoMA
Hoping to go to Southbank more often
Taro Ramen on Edward St
Went for the chop. I hadn't cut it since December 2014 when I had my curl perm done in Malaysia. (Fun fact: I hadn't brushed my hair since then.) You know it's a dramatic cut when your head feels significantly lighter afterwards and I love the feeling. At the moment, it's my natural , thick , straight and puffy cut. Haven't had the chance to thin and layer it yet but I'm also contemplating adding some colour.
^ New and old: the difference in thickness is crazy.
Having used Windows my whole life, I'm still trying to get used to Mac software.... Yes it's fast and light but incompatible with my phone so file transferring has been a bummer.
Story/Rant: I took the plunge of purchasing a Mac because despite all my friends telling me not to get a Lenovo, I bought a new Lenovo (X250). It took six weeks to arrive and when it did, I wanted to return it (terrible logic I know but I was soooo convinced it'd be good for me). Big turn offs- the screen viewing was worse than my old computer and sound was coming from the bottom of the laptop (like whaaaaat...?). I made countless calls regarding my order, returns was a hassle because I was being referred to different departments of the freight company and it was the most head-aching thing. Delays are real guys. Especially if your product is getting shipped from China.
Tried Miss Kay's burgers for the first time. I forgot what I ordered but concluded that nothing tops Grill'd for me (y)
Enjoyed seafood and Les Sœurs Macarons after work on Valentine's Day <3

Best shop at DFO. We visited at a good time because the year's biggest chocolate event was right around the corner. Easter.

Waited in line for almost two hours for free scrolled ice cream at The Doughnut Bar. Super pretty and fascinating to watch them make it but it didn't really taste like ice cream .____.

UQ Lakessss. A pretty place.
Favourite films and shows! Zootopia blew me away and I got around to watching Far from the Madding Crowd starring Carey Mulligan. I listen to the soundtrack for that and Phantom of the Opera quite often these days. As for tv shows, Game of Thrones is back and I've occasionally been watching Suits but I got seriously hooked on Orphan Black. Blazed through the first three seasons.
Me right now. I've drafted the April Favourites so look forward to that soon. Have a great week!
